History

Casedhole Solutions was founded in 2005 by five experienced oilfield service professionals. Operations began in the Anadarko basin in Western Oklahoma and Texas Panhandle from the Weatherford Oklahoma facility. District offices have since been opened in Vernal UT, Bossier City LA, Williston ND, Charleroi PA, Midland TX, Charlotte TX, Muncy PA, Bullard (near Tyler) TX and now in Giddings TX.  Relying on its reputation for excellence, Casedhole has also performed services in several overseas nations.

The founding partners:

Brian Buffington

Mr. Buffington has over 26 years of experience in the wireline business including positions as a field engineer, sales representative, district manager and technical manager. Prior to joining Casedhole Solutions, Mr. Buffington served as the U.S. Pipe Recovery Product Line Manager for Weatherford International. His area of expertise is in pipe recovery and he enjoys an unparallel reputation as a pipe recovery specialist. Mr. Buffington has worldwide experience in recovering tubulars in difficult situations and has been instrumental in developing and implementing many new pipe recovery technologies. Mr. Buffington has authored many operational and technical papers with respect to pipe recovery operations for both intracompany use and industry as a whole and continues to be heavily involved in the company’s pipe recovery business, both domestically and internationally.

John Harris

Mr. Harris began his career at the age of 18 and has over 26 years of experience in the wireline business including positions as a pressure control specialist, field engineer and manager. His area of expertise is hostile environment completion operations and he is known throughout the United States as a Hostile Environment completion expert. Mr. Harris has extensive experience utilizing nickel alloy wirelines in H2S environments, working with extreme downhole temperatures reaching 460ºF and with extreme surface pressures approaching 14,500 psi. He has been involved in designing truck equipment, pressure control equipment and crane equipment to improve wireline operations throughout the industry.

Frank Lezu

Mr. Lezu has over 26 years of experience in the wireline business including positions as field engineer, sales representative and manager. Prior to joining Casedhole Solutions, Mr. Lezu served as the U.S. Operations Manager for Weatherford International’s wireline business.  His area of expertise is as a technical specialist and in performing sales and management roles. Mr. Lezu has specific technical expertise in the modifying down hole tools and surface systems for reliable performance in HES environments. Mr. Lezu has authored many operational procedure papers for the cased-hole wireline completions industry and is extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the wireline business.

Lyle Love

Mr. Love has over 35 years in the wireline business including positions as a field engineer, sales representative and manager. Mr. Love was a previously a co-owner of American CasedHole Specialists, Inc., a wireline services company acquired by an NYSE company after 18 years of operations. Mr. Love has an electronic engineering technology degree from DeVry Institute of Technology and began his career with Schlumberger Wireline Services in Pampa, Texas in 1974. He has experience in open hole and cased-hole operations, both on land and offshore.  He continues on as Chairman of the Board.

Sandy Stark

Mr. Stark has over 42 years in the wireline business including positions as field engineer, sales representative and manager. His area of expertise includes sales and marketing. He was previously a co-owner of American CasedHole Specialists, Inc., a wireline services company acquired by an NYSE company after 18 years of operations. Mr. Stark enjoys an industry-wide reputation for understanding the oil and gas wireline service marketplace.  He began his career with Schlumberger Wireline Services in Enid, Oklahoma. Mr. Stark’s career has focused on working with deep, high pressure and high temperature wells and he was involved in the development and implementation of the very first grease injection pressure control systems. In his sales and marketing role, Mr. Stark relies on his extensive experience of working with the most difficult wells in the United States to help potential customers with the application of wireline services.
