Don Gawick, President/Chief Executive Officer

Don came to Casedhole Solutions as President and CEO in March,2010. He started his oilfield career in 1979 and worked principally with Schlumberger Wireline in North America, with a focus on operations and marketing . In addition, he held senior leadership positions in oilfield services in sales, business and new technology development, service delivery and HSE management positions with assignments in Canada, USA, Europe, the Far East  and Latin America. His most recent assignments were as Global Wireline Account manager and as North America Wireline Marketing /Cased Hole Business development manager. Don graduated from the University of Manitoba in 1979 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.

Mike Hobbs, Chief Operating Officer

Mike joined Casedhole Solutions as Vice President & General Manager in April, 2010. In June of 2011 he became Chief Operating Officer.  Mike began his oilfield career in 1980.  His first years were with Schlumberger in numerous operational and management positions in the Permian Basin.  In 1997  he founded E.M. Hobbs, Inc, which grew from 1 truck and 2 employees in Sonora, Texas into a 21 truck business with 120 employees working in five locations in Texas and New Mexico. Mike was influential in the development and implementation of many of the multi stage completion procedures and techniques that are used today.   After selling to WH Energy in 2002, the name was changed to Enertech Wireline, which was later sold to Smith and was most recently purchased by Schlumberger.

Tom Wilkins, Chief Financial Officer

Tom joined Casedhole Solutions as CFO just prior to the founders bringing in Intervale Capital as its equity partner in June, 2008. Tom is a finance and accounting professional who started his career in 1987.  His experience includes:  big 4 public accounting as well as stints with public companies, startups, turnarounds, closely held & entrepreneurial organizations.  In his CFO roles, he has also been involved from the business perspective via strategic planning, system implementations and operational leadership.  He has been the primary liaison to financial institutions, investors and equity groups, public accounting firms, legal firms, governmental agencies and professional organizations. Tom is a CPA and obtained a BS from the University of Kentucky majoring in accounting.
 

Ed Keppler, Vice President and General Manager, Operations

Ed Keppler joined Casedhole Solutions in May, 2010 as the Vice President and General Manager for the North Region.   In June 2011 he assumed the role of Vice President Operations for all areas.  Starting in 1990, Ed has concentrated in the North American market with extensive expertise in cased hole operations and perforating, open hole logging and wellbore formation sampling.  While employed by Schlumberger, Ed held numerous key management positions including wireline district manager in 6 different locations, regional operations manager for the state of Alaska, engineering sustaining manager and cased hole service delivery manager for the US.  Ed’s last position before joining Casedhole Solutions was Global Wireline Technical Support manager for Weatherford. He graduated from New Mexico State University with a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering in 1990.

Lance Dunn, Vice President Sales and Marketing

Lance came to Casedhole Solutions in July, 2010 as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. Starting in the industry in 1979, his career has focused mainly in wireline sales and marketing. For his last 15 years with Schlumberger Lance held sales management positions in the US, the Middle and Far East and in Europe.  His last assignment with Schlumberger was as the Wireline Sales Manager for US Onshore, managing a sales force of approximately 100 across all land basins with a dozen city and field sales managers.  He brings deep experience to Casedhole Solutions in sales force development and coordination, market analysis and strategic planning.  Lance graduated from Cornell University in Ithaca NY in 1979 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
